Kurt Michael Friese, chef, local food advocate and Johnson County Supervisor, was sadly taken from us in 2018. To honor Kurt and to carry forward his work and passions, we are presenting a memorial fundraiser in his name to benefit two local non-profits (Field to Family & Slow Food Heartland) that Kurt co-founded. Kurt was also a huge fan of local music so we thought it would be fitting to have a benefit concert with local musicians providing the entertainment. Performing artists are Greg Brown, Awful Purdies, Dave Zollo and Slewgrass.
