The Great Unraveling is the 4th studio album by folk-American band Awful Purdies, a quartet of 5 women multi-instruments. Like past Purdies albums, The Great Unraveling features songs telling women’s stories, but this album steps firmly into the moment addressing the inhumane demands of capitalism (No Machine), the stifling of marginalized voices (Morning Glory), pollution of the natural world (Something in the Water), and the resulting mass migration of people being displaced by competition for resources (The Great Unraveling). Through 13 new songs Awful Purdies shows that learning to love ourselves (Why Would I Be Small?) and take care of ourselves (This Woman’s Work) can help us to meet the challenge of doing the work needed to fight for a better world.
Save $5 when you bundle the Vinyl, CD + Digital Download together, it’s a $35 value!
